The best sub shop!!

Sam's is the best subs shop in Southern Chester county. Not only is the food delicious and the servings large, the owners and staff are incredibly nice and friendly. They get to know their patrons and make you feel welcome.

Best subs around. This is old school. If you like Italian subs don't even look at the menu just order one. They slice the meat fresh and thin, pull the lettuce apart, place it on an amazing roll. Perfect every time. It melts in your mouth... really.

This is an Awesome place to eat friendly, kind and very nice the best Subs and steaks from any other deli cannot even compareto this place, the sandwiches are always fresh and they are not sting with the meats. I would give them a ten* Hazel South

There subs are terrible not like it use to be Just had one. No love in it When Mr . Sam passed he took the love with him . The meat was warm. And they don't lessons.

Used to go there with my dad every sat before confession to get subs for dinner my dad knew the owner. Now 50 plus years later it is still the best. Treated myself today

A lot of places make a pretty good sub. Few come close to Sam's, none are better and this has been true for close to 50 years that I know of. The one negative review complains the place is not air conditioned! I wouldn't know about that. When I'm in Sam's all I notice are the great smells and sandwich I am about to get.

This is a local sandwich shop in downtown Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Excellent food and affordable prices. The staff is friendly and the small establishment is "cash only." That's the only drawback, but Sam's is open during the business week until 3 pm and it's arguably the best place to eat in Kennett Square for competitive prices and a memorable sandwich!

They only take cash. Food was ok my egg and bacon hoagie tasted like it was made in the hospital

So I was referred here by someone because it had the best cheesesteak around. Well they do have one of the best cheesesteaks I have ever had. I’ve had “the best in Philly” but Sam’s probably beat them on the best. I would recommend for anyone around Kennett Square.

Small, family-owned shop run by the daughters of the original owner. Great cheese steak and very friendly atmosphere. Don't go in the shop thinking that you won't talk to anyone. Even the other lunch goers will chat you up while waiting for your sandwich. Great place.

Sam sub shop is good men name is bart and gril name is sandy Sam is good to eat it open at 6:00 to 2:00 it closed to 2:00pm

Old School South Philly Deli without going to South Philly. I think Kennett Square can completely fulfill a Center City transplants food needs. Sam's opens at 6:30 and closes at 3. Cash only. A very good small plate Kennett Square’esque cheesesteak in an old school sandwich shop complete with a table for four right in the middle of the patron area. I learned from the two Old-Timers I sat with that Sam's daughter and her husband run the place and the HS football team is looking good this year. Sam came back from WW2 and opened Sam's sub shop in 1946. This was a very good cheese steak. The mushrooms and onion spent some quality time together on the grill. Everyone's going to give me a hard time and say I only care about size but ‘come on man’ look at the pictures this Cheesesteak needed more meat. Overall very good cheesesteak experience. $9.75 stung a bit.

Sams has been my childhood favorite. Their subs and breakfast, and cheesesteak are perfect everytime. My favorite will always been the hot sausage with fried onions and cheese and the Chocolate milk. I just wish they were open longer because I absolutely love them. They are also so nice and polite as they legit handmake the food.

Oh Sam's Sub Shop...First of all, the place wasn't air conditioned and it's August. A food establishment that isn't air conditioned? Gross. Three of us walked in together (boss and co-worker) and we saw mayo just sitting out, cheese just sitting out(not in a container sitting out either...just sitting on the counter), meat and cheese being sliced on the same slicer, no gloves, no hair nets, touching money then touching food and didn't take debit or credit (which isn't a huge deal). I just found all the fans blowing dust around in this fairly unclean establishment disgusting. The health department should pay a visit. Soon.

The best subs for breakfast or lunch. Not a wide variety, excellent bread. Plus all the local gossip.

Friendly staff and cute shop full of history were the only reason I gave this 2 stars. My hoagie was lacking meat and taste.
